Superintendent’s Message
Dear Malden Public Schools Families and Caregivers,
As we approach the Winter Break, I want to thank you for your support and perseverance through the first half of the 2021-22 school year. Your patience and understanding have been incredibly helpful as we have continued to learn more about the district.
The upcoming break can be a great time to rest, recharge, and get ready for the remainder of the school year. I have been impressed with the effort our students and staff have demonstrated to learn and grow. Let’s keep up the great work!
I also wanted to remind our families and caregivers that there will be an 11 a.m. school dismissal on Thursday, December 23, to start the winter break. School will then resume on Monday, January 3, 2021.
We had initially planned to hold another parent/caregivers meeting on December 21st, but since we do not have any new information to present, this meeting has been canceled. The information that was presented at the December 14, 2021 meeting can be found on our website at Maldenps.org
We will continue to work together with the Malden Board of Health to ensure safety in our schools. We strongly encourage our families to sign up their children for our COVID-19 In-School Testing program, which you can do by using this Digital Consent Form
I hope you have a safe, restful, and wonderful holiday season!
Sincerely,
Ligia Noriega-Murphy
Superintendent
