STOP THE STIGMA DAY

MALDEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS ANNOUNCES “STOP THE STIGMA DAY” WITH MALDEN OVERCOMING ADDICTION

In collaboration with Malden Overcoming Addiction, the Malden Public Schools is pleased to announce the annual “STOP THE STIGMA DAY” to be held on March 9, 2022.

Malden Overcoming Addiction (MOA) is a community partner whose mission is to connect the community with addiction support and recovery services, remove the stigma of addiction, and fight to eliminate overdose fatalities in Malden and surrounding communities.

The annual MOA “Stop The Stigma Day” is about “leveraging the collective power of Malden’s community to bring attention to the stigma surrounding addiction.”

Malden Overcoming Addiction has brought the “Stop the Stigma Day” into the Malden Public Schools for the last six years (excluding pandemic).  Using social media and personal appearances as platforms they advocate that our young people help us all take a step forward in eliminating the stigma that surrounds addiction. Our aim is to create a safer and more supportive environment for recovery and prevention.
