Junior Varieties
Junior Varieties is the oldest high school variety show in the country. Each year’s show follows a new theme and features a mix of comedy, vocal, instrumental , dance, and other performances. The show is largely led by that year’s junior classmen, but students of all grade levels can participate and each grade is given their own part in the show.
The Blue and Gold
Malden High School’s official newspaper, The Blue and Gold, has been publishing for over 100 years, making it the second-oldest running public high school newspaper in the country. Over the years, the paper has won many awards including some from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, the New England Scholastic Press Association (NESPA), and Suffolk University.
