Monday-Friday

K-6:     8:15 A.M. – 2:15 P.M.

7 & 8:  7:45 A.M. – 2:20 P.M.

Kindergarten Orientation

Ferryway’s Kindergarten Orientation will be held on September 1st from 1-2 p.m. During this time families will learn about the school and meet the Kindergarten team, and administration team. Families can anticipate learning about school protocols like drop off and pick up.

Description

Since opening in 1999, the Ferryway School is a K-8 school which utilizes a K-4 elementary school model and a 5-8 middle school model. Ferryway School is committed to providing all students with the best possible elementary and middle school experience. Each grade level team includes regular education and special education teachers, ELL teachers, and literacy/math assistants. In addition to the content-area subjects being taught, students in grades K-4 take Physical Education, Health/Computers, Art, and Music Education. Students in grades 5-8
take Physical Education, Art, Computers/Health and Technology Education. Ferryway staff includes fifty nine full time educators, fourteen part-time educators, and ten paraprofessionals. In addition, the Ferryway community issupported by ELL, Literacy and Math coaches, two school adjustment counselors, one guidance counselor, one school nurse, one evaluation team leader, two administrative assistants, two custodians, and three administrators.

Parents are encouraged to play an integral role in the educational process both at home and at school. An active and dedicated Ferryway PTO provides important support and resources to both students and staff.
