Welcome Back To School!
I hope that all have enjoyed their summer. As we head into August we continue to prepare for the 2024-2025 school year, I am excited to welcome our current students back to school and eager to meet the incoming students from the class of 2028. All students return to school on Wednesday, August 28.
All Grade 9 students will meet on the sidewalk for a 7:45 entrance to the building.
Grades 10, 11, 12 should enter the building through our traditional entrances.
I also want to provide an update about American Sign Language at Malden High School for the 2024-2025 school year. Unfortunately we will not be able to offer this class moving forward. Below I have outlined a plan to support all students that have enrolled into ASL 1 and 2. All ASL 1 students will be changed to Spanish 1 for the upcoming school year. Students may contact their school counselor if they are interested in French, Italian or switching to another course. ASL 2 students will have the option of switching to another language or engaging in an ASL 2 full year, online, teacher-supported virtual class. This class will be, like all other MHS courses, written into the daily schedule with daily attendance expectations, and on student’s transcripts and report cards.
