Salemwood Elementary K-4

Welcome back to the Salemwood Elementary School. We are excited to embrace our multi-cultural community. The philosophy of the school is that through collaboration and understanding our school will continue to excel and reach even greater heights.

Salemwood Middle School

Salemwood Middle School consists of grades five through eight with approximately 550 students. The Salemwood Middle School administrators are Ms. Van Huynh, Acting Principal, and Ms. Lauren McGonagle, Assistant Principal. Each grade level contains an interdisciplinary team-taught including the following subjects: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. In grades seven and eight, the fifth team-taught subject is Spanish. Grade five students take Writer’s Workshop and Grade six takes Study Skills as their fifth subject. All teams include academic support and interventions for Special Education, English Language Learners, and at-risk students. Exploratory subjects for grades five through eight include: Physical Education, Health, Computer Technology, Music, and Art.

It is our vision at Salemwood Middle School to foster a true “middle school experience” for your child and to prepare them to be academically and socially successful in high school. We cannot do this alone, we must work as partners to insure the best education possible for your child. We welcome and encourage open communication with our families through the use of the Agenda Book, Connect-Ed, E-Mail, phone calls, and school visits. It is our job for your child to leave Salemwood Middle School with positive memories and experiences.
