Dr. Russell Johnston, Senior Associate Commissioner and State Director of
Special Education at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary
Education (DESE) will provide parents with an update on key initiatives to
improve outcomes for students with disabilities.
He will discuss topics such as the IEP Improvement Project, dyslexia screening,
and family engagement. Dr. Johnston would like to hear directly from families
about these statewide initiatives in order to make them better for all students.
