Welcome Back To School!
Farewell Summer! Hello School! Welcome back…ALMOST! The first day of school for the Malden Early Learning Center is Friday September 6, 2024. PreSchool benchmarks will take place August 29th- September 5th. Open house is Wednesday August 28, 2024 4:00- 5:30. All families and students are welcome to attend to meet the teachers and related service staff. Please be on the lookout for your back to school packet. The packet will contian your child’s teacher, classroom number and other important information regarding school. You will receive an email from me in the next week. If you have any questions prior to the start of the school year, please call 781-397-7025. We are all excited to welcome your child(ren) to school.

Teacher Assignment
Be on the lookout for your child’s Welcome to School packet. The packets are being mailed home. The packet will include your child’s teacher, classroom, and other important information for the school year.

o8/21 2:30-4:30pm – City of Malden sponsored free backpack drive at the Linden School Park on Wescott Street! Each family is able to receive 2 backpacks full of school supplies to start the year. You must register in advance at www.maldenrec.com

Preschool Orientation/ Screening
We welcome families to join us on August 28th from 4-5:30 for a chance to visit the school and meet staff during our Open House.
Preschool benchmark assessments will take place August 29-September 5. All students are expected to come to the school to complete the assessment with the classroom teacher. The classroom teacher will arrange the appointment. All assessments will take place 8:00- 2:00.
School Supplies
The ELC provides students with the supplies for school. However, parents are welcome to purchase classroom supplies such as Clorox Wipes, Papertowels, Tissues, Glue Sticks, Crayons, etc. This is voluntary and not a requirement. Parents should speak to their child’s classroom teacher.
Breakfast and Lunch
Every student in Malden Public Schools is provided with a free breakfast and lunch-no paperwork needed. Breakfast is provided to students as they walk into the building or directly in their classroom. Each month, you may view the breakfast and lunch menus for our school at the link below. Be sure to bookmark the page and check at the start of each month to view the new menu.
