A to Z University 2017-18

A to Z University is our after school program for students in grades K-5. A to Z University provides a safe and nurturing environment where students can enhance their academic skills. Homework help and classes on study skills help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their highest academic potential. In addition, students are given opportunities to delve more deeply into topics that enrich and reinforce classroom learning and help overcome learning gaps. Classes offered at A to Z University may include Alphabet Soup Kitchen, All About Me, Tree House Magic, The Lemonade Stand, Songbook of America, Stories Through the Artist’s Eye, Recycled Art, and Written for Us, by Us.

Program Dates:

A to Z University is a fee-based program. Students are required to register for a minimum of two days per week, and must
register for each entire session.  Registrations are conducted at each school before the start of each session. If you wish to register your student after the start of the session, you must do so at PCSM offices at Salemwood School, 529 Salem Street, Rm A125.

 We will offer three University sessions this year:

  • Session 1 –  September 11 to December 8
  • Session 2 –   December 11 to March 16
  • Session 3 –   March 19 to June 8

Program Registration:

Registration for Session 1 for will take place at Beebe, Forestdale and Salemwood schoosl on the following dates.  In order to begin A -Z University on September 11, you must register at one of these dates.  After these dates, you will register at our office and the start date will be after the three day processing time.  There is a $10.00 registration fee per child per school year and a 33% deposit is required to register for the session.  You will be billed the remaining balance in 2 payments during the session.

  •  August 31, September 5, and September 6 from 4:00 to 6:00

A to Z University runs from 2:20 to 5:30 pm at the Beebe and Forestdale Schools; and 3:30 to 6:00 pm at the Salemwood School. Children may be picked up at 4:15 pm or 5:30 pm at the Beebe and Forestdale, while children may be picked up between 5:45 and 6:00 pm at the Salemwood School.

Financial Aid:

Financial aid is available to families that request it and meet qualifications. Financial aid is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Families requesting financial aid are required to submit a COPY for our files of their most recent 1040 for qualification.  The financial aid guidelines may be found on the forms page.

Early Release:

On Early Release days, PCSM will have programming available to those who have already registered for our programs and attend on Wednesdays.  The cost is $10.00 per child per each early release day.
